I think that it will be helpful when it comes to trusting a pediatrician to follow the tip that you gave to consider their credentials. My wife and I want to find a pediatrician to help our son once he is born, and it will be important for us to know that we could find the right one. When we do start looking for one who we could hire for him, I will be sure to check their certifications.

It is helpful that you suggested to ask a pediatrician about their credentials before you choose to hire them. I think that sounds like a great way to earn trust in them. My wife and I have been talking about finding a pediatrician to help us once our son is born, and it will be important for us to be confident in who we will choose to hire. When we look for one, I will be sure to check their credentials.

In reply to Nicolle. A family doctor, that stays up-to-date on Pediatric care can also be an excellent option! I'm sorry to hear that many of the doctors in your area wouldn't meet with you. I can understand not wanting to choose a Pediatrician that won't give you the courtesy of a meet-and-greet.

Great tips for first time parents on how to pick a pediatrician. Another thing I found helpful was asking friends, that already have kids, who their pediatrician was and if they liked him or her.
